CHINESE KUNGFU

When I was a little girl, I was impressed by the movie in which there are many Kungfu stars. What impressed me most are the movies acted by Bruce Li, such as Enter the Dragon, the Chinese Connection and so on. There are many kinds of martial arts in those movies.

Yes, Chinese Kungf u is Chinese people’s long-term accumulated valuable cultural heritage. Also it is the Chinese traditional sport. Chinese Kungfu attaches great importance to personal loyalty and the ethics of martial arts. The origins of Chinese martial arts can be traced over 3,000 years ago to self-defense needs, hunting activities and military training in ancient China and finally as method of self-cultivation.Conversely, the influence of martial arts ideals in civilian society can be found in poetry, fiction, and eventually film. Chinese martial arts are now an integral element of Chinese culture.Over the past two to four thousand years, many distinctive styles have been developed, each with its own set of techniques and ideas. There are also common themes to the different styles, which are often classified by "jia" , "pai" or "men" of martial art styles.Such as Shaolin pai, Wutan pai and Emei pai.

One person I just referred to Bruce Li who is the symbol of Chinese Kungfu. It was he who made the word Chinese Kungfu in many English dictionaries. Bruce Li has made great contribution to the modern art of

attack and art of films. In the eyes of many foreigners, Bruce Li has become the embodiment of Kungfu.

As a traditional sport, Chinese Kungfu has many positive effects on our life. Firstly, our quality can be improved through learning martial arts, and it can make us become stronger and help us protect ourselves. Secondly, we can gradually have a strong will in the process of learning Chinese Kungfu, and at the same time, our life can be enriched.

In a word, Chinese Kungfu is a valuable cultural heritage to our Chinese people. So, why don’t we try it? Better Chinese Kungfu, better life!
