Teaching Plan for U2

Teaching aims: Learn to talk about routines; learn to ask about and say times.

Grammar: Simple present tense

*Structure:what time questions; when questions; adverbs of frequency; That’s a funny time for breakfast(that’s a+ adj.+ time+for sth.); It’s not good for her (it’s + adj. + for sb/sth..)

*Vocabulary: refer to the wordlist on P121-122

Phrases: get up, get dressed, brush one’s teeth, eat breakfast/lunch/dinner, take a shower, do one’s homework, radio station, go to work, at night, on school days, best friend, on weekends, take a walk, taste good, either…or…, lots of

*Writing:learn how to write about one’s daily routines.

*Sentences for writing:

①I have a very healthy life.

②In the morning, I get up at eight. Then I go to school at eight thirty.

③I don’t have much time for breakfast.

④After school, I either watch TV or play computer games.

⑤At ten thirty, I brush my teeth and then I go to bed.

6. P9 3a Write answers or questions: Use always, usually, or never. 可提示学生问句都用what time或者when,降低难度。

7. Group work: Steve’s day

1) Work in a group to find out enough information to complete Steve’s schedule.

Each g roup gets a piece of paper with Steve’s schedule on it. But the schedule they get is incomplete. They need to ask other groups questions to complete their own schedule. 每个小组得到一张不完整的时刻表,
