介词as的用法总结

as adv.如同，像……一样（equally/similarly/same/likewise）

prep.作为；以……身份；当作；像，如同；当……时（in the light of/ like）

讲解：

1.作介词prep时，用法和语义较为单一，大多数时候译为‘作为’。

例如：MoYan is known as the most famous writer in China.

莫言作为中国最著名的作家而被熟知。

2.作连词conj时，用法和功能较多，可引导‘原因状从、时间状从、方式状从、让步状从、、定语从句’。

（1）引导原因状从时，译为‘因为’。

例句：As rain has fallen，the air is cooler. 因为下过雨，所以空气比较凉爽。

（2）引导时间状从时，译为‘当...时候’。【注意when、while、as的区别】例句：As I arrived home，my mom was cooking a meal.

当我回到家的时候，妈妈正在做饭。

（3）引导让步状从时，译为‘虽然’，此时用法与although/though相同。

例句：As the little boy is smart，he couldn’t take care of himself.

虽然这个小男孩很聪明，但他还不能照顾自己。

（4）引导方式状从时，译为‘以...方式’。

例句：Do as the Romans do when (you are) in Roma.入乡随俗

（5）引导定语从句时，不翻译，仅根据先行词的类型而做选择。

例句：This is the same question as I did yesterday.这和我昨天做的题目一样。

（即所谓的固定搭配‘the same ... as 和...一样’）

3.做副词adv时，译为‘如同，像...一样’

例句：This film is as interesting as that one.这部电影和那部一样有趣。

（即所谓的固定搭配‘as+adj./adv.+as A’和A一样的adj./adv.）

（在‘as...as..’中，第一个as作副词，第二个as作连词）
