Junior high school days will be over, I have some special memories. One of them is about a teacher. In my heart, Mr. Wang, my English teacher, is the nicest teacher. He is of medium height. We think he is very handsome. He impresses me with a friendly, kind and hard-working teacher. He is strict with us in English. He helps us with English not only in class but also after class. About two years ago, Mr. Wang noticed that I was worried about my poor pronunciation. So he offered me some advice and
encouraged me to improve it. He also gave me chances to speak as much as possible in class. With his help, my pronunciation has greatly improved.
I must say many thanks to Mr. Wang. I wish him a healthy and happy life in the future.

Last Friday afternoon, all the teachers and students in the school watched the video about Huang Xuhua—the father of China’s nukes.
We were all inspired by his deeds.

Last Friday afternoon, all the teachers and students in the school watched the video about Huang Xuhua—the father of China’s nukes.
He was born in a rich family. In order to make our country stronger, he gave up the chance to be a doctor, but tried to learn how to make/build the nukes. Although the conditions were very hard at that time, he concentrated on studying the knowledge of making/building the nukes.
To protect the national security, he used to conceal/ concealed his identity. For about 30 years, he was unknown for others. And now he still keeps working hard even if he is over 90 years old.
(And now he doesn’t stop working/struggling even if he is over 90 years old.) His story explains to us what is the great love for the people and country. We were all inspired by his deeds.

A Hero in My Heart
Everybody has a hero in his heart.
My hero is my mother, because she has been working hard all the time and never gives up.
Once she would have a difficult exam. To pass it, she must read four books. But my mother did not have so much time because she had to take care of me. One night, when I woke up suddenly at 2 o’clock, I found her staying up late to read her books.
I was shocked by my mother.
My mother always sets a goal and manages to finish it. She is a hero in my heart and encourages me to work hard.
