教材分析

本课是《新目标英语》七年级上第四单元,本单元围绕室内物品开展多种教学活动。本节课的主要内容是学习有关物品的新单词,掌握介词on, in, under 的用法,学习询问物品在哪里以及回答其所在地点的句型Where’s

学情分析

本节课是第一课时,所学事物desk, bed, bookcase等生词,学生有一定基础,物品间的位置关系也较贴近学生生活,学生会比较有兴趣,但七年级学生较活泼好动,因此要多设计能让学生参与的活动。

Teaching aims:

1. Language goals:

Key vocabulary: table, bed, bookcase, sofa, chair, where, on, under. Target language: Where’s my schoolbag? It’s under the table.

Where are my books? They’re on the sofa

Grammar: Prepositions: in, on, under

2. Ability goals:

Talk about where things are, Learn the using of preposition “ on, in, under”

Train the students’ communicative competence.

3. Moral goals :

Students should take good care of their things.

Enable students to know that it’s a good habit to keep a room clean and tidy.

Teaching important points:

1. New words: The names of furniture items

2. How to talk about where things are, Learn the using of preposition “ on,

in, under”

Teaching difficult points:

1. Prepositions of place: in, on, under.

2. Prepositional phrases: on the sofa, under the bed, etc.

3.Train students’ listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. Teaching steps:

Step 1 Greetings and warming up

T: This morning we are going to learn English together. Please get ready for class. Now show me your two hands! Let’s count the numbers from one to ten. Just follow me! One, one XXX, two, two XXX… Do it as quickly as you can. (课前问候和热身让学生在轻松、愉快的气氛中集中注意力,促进学生眼、耳、口、手多种器官的动用,积极学习。)

Warming up: students play a chant

This is a pen. These are pens.

That is a book Those are books

It’s a key They’re keys

Step2 Learn the new words

Show the pictures of the things on the screen.

Teach the new words: chair, table, bed ,bookcase, sofa.

(First, read the pronunciations , then read the words. Each word has the singular form and plural form.)

Read the words over and over again until the students can name each item fluently.

(为了避免学生学习单词枯燥的现象,采取大脑风暴的集体、分组、个人、男女生、不同声调、快慢速、升降调等读法和做口型游戏猜词法,让学生主动参与、激发学生学单词的激情和兴趣。)

Step 3 Guessing game.

Show the things that are covered, let students guess“Is it a/ an…”, if the student can’t guess what it is, show the thing gradually.

(利用游戏课堂巩固,兴趣盎然)

Step 4 Work on 1a

T: Turn to page 19, look at 1a. First read the words. Then look at the

picture and look at the letters.

Read the instruction.

Students do 1a on their own.

Check the answers.

Read the words again. (让学生熟悉课本中常用指导语,并培养认真读题的好习惯。)Step 5: Presentation.

(1)Show the pictures of a box and a cat teach ″in, on, under″Presentation 1.

T: Where is the cat?

S: Oh, it’s on/in /under the box

(2)Then look at the picture on the screen to show the other things to make the students understand in/on/under and teach ″where’s=where is

(根据七年级学生的实际情况和认知水平,采用图片和肢体语言进行教学,通过“视觉辅助”活动,学生在脑海里形象地记住了这几个介词的用法,这样使教学内容由难到易、由抽象到直观、由枯燥到丰富。在课堂教学中,再一次激发学生的学习兴趣,保护学生学习的积极性,传授学习策略,培养学生学习的技能。)Step 6 pairwork 1

2. Students work.

3. Ask some pairs to show their work.

Step7: Presentation.

Show some pencils and books to the students and present ″Where are/where’re…? They’re….”(Where are=where’re)

For example:

Where are the books?

They’re on/in /under the table. (由单数到复数的引入)

Step 8 pairwork 2.

1. For example: Put the things on some places.

Practice the structures

3. T: Where are my keys ?

S: They’re on the chair.

Step 9 : Listening (Section A 1b).

1)Listen and number the things in the pictures when you hear them. First listen, then check and repeat.

2)The students listen to the recording twice.

(给学生两次听的机会,既能照顾到学习困难学生,又能培养学生从整体把握内容的能力。)

Step 10 pairwork (1c)

Have the students make conversations and act it out in front of the class.

Example,

-Where’s the ball?

-It’s in / on/ under the box.

-Where are the erasers?

-They’re in/on/under the box.

(设计情景,找丢失的或藏起来的物品。学生好胜心理和集体荣誉感很强,通过竞赛的方式可以促进学生主动参与活动,巩固所学知识。)

Step 11 Summarize

1. Get students to sum up what we have learned in this class.

2. Make a brief sum-up.

(让学生自己做课堂总结,然后再由教师做综合陈述。)

Step 12 Exercise(用is/are填空 )

(1)Where _____ my schoolbag? (2) Where _____ my books?

(3)Lily’s schoolbag ______ under the desk.

(4) Tom’s books ______ on the sofa.

(5)They ____ under the table. (6)It _____ a key.

( 课堂练习进一步巩固所学内容,还可以检测学生对本课知识的掌握情况,有利于学生对自己的语言错误和语言方面的不足有更清楚的认识。)

Step Homework:

1. Make conversations using what we’ve learned in this class.

2. Copy the new words.

(七年级学生自觉性和学习能力还不稳定,需要课后作业帮助他们复习巩固) Blackboard writing design:

in 在….里面 where’s my schoolbag? where’s +单数

on 在….上面 It’s in/on/under….

under在….下面 Where are my books ?where are +复数

教学反思:

七年级学生大胆、活泼、好动、喜欢交流,用图片让学生感受身边的事物,选取与学生生活贴近的情景,采取“头脑风暴”、快速反应以及竞赛等课堂教学活动激发学生学习英语的兴趣,让学生主动参与到教学活动中来,同时通过一系列的师生互动、生生互动、小组合作等活动,进一步提高了学生的听、说、读、写的综合能力。此外,在教学过程中,对个别不敢开口的同学,应及时给予鼓励,让他们敢于开口,对活动有困难的学生,要适当帮助,让他们能顺利地完成任务。
