Studying habit is a very individual thing. Some people like to study alone, while others prefer to study in a group. Both ways of study have their own advantageous. But personally I would rather study alone than study in a group.

Firstly studying alone can help one to digest knowledge that he or she has learned better. One can review the part that he or s he did not understand during the class according to their own conditions. Secondly, studying alone will help one to concentrate his or her attention. While, studying in a group can, more or less, disperse one's attention. Remote Education

When it comes to the choice between studying in traditional colleges and self-studying through Internet, recently more peopl e choose to receive remote education, especially for those white collars, college students and professionals.

In the eyes of those people studying through Internet remote education has its own

advantages which are beneficial to their study. In the first place, studying through Internet is more efficient and flexible because learners will not be bound up in the classroom at the required time. But remote education is still far from perfection. On one hand, staying before computers too long will make students neglect

Should a College Graduate Rent or Purchase a House?

With the soaring of the house price the dream of having a house becomes unattainable for most of the new graduates. They fa ce a dilemma of dwelling narrowly or renting a room.

People holding the idea of purchasing a house think that the advantages of owning a house of their own outweigh another cho ice. On the one hand, according to the historical record, house price is expected to rise in the future. The possession of a house i s expected to make profits in the long run. On the other hand, a house belonging to yourself makes you feel safety and comfort. Nevertheless, dissenters do not agree with the idea. In their view, the house price is too high to afford for graduates. If graduates decide to buy a house, they are certain to increase the burden of their family.

In my opinion, it is more advisable to rent a house during the first years than to buy a house

because it is unwise to buy a house at such a high price. It is reasonable to save money and purchase a house at a suitable time. Surely, graduates can decide when to buy a house in accordance with their family condition.

Is the Independent Enrollment of University a Good Thing?

Many colleges and universities have ploughed into enrolling students independently. Both students and parents are keen on s huttling between those famous universities for taking examinations.

Most of voices are on the side of the independent enrollment of university. Because they regard it as another opportunity for high school students to enter into prestigious universities. College entrance examination is no longer the only approach to the u niversity, especially for those students with special talents. However, some people object to it with their own reasons. For one th ing, they think those difficult examinations organized by universities for their independent

enrollment are bound to make students bear greater burden. For another thing, it might bring about injustice if there is barely str ict supervision, let alone whether the examination is authentic enough to select qualified students.

In spite of all this, I am still confident that the independent enrollment is of great benefit to our society and examinees. With t he perfection of our educational system, the problem as mentioned above will be solved. We have the enough reason to believe that all roads lead to Rome.

The pilot project of online examinations recently is under heatedly discussed in the universities. Though online examinations have tried in some foreign countries, they are still fresh for Chinese colleges. People hold unanimous views on them.

Online examinations have their own special advantages of creating a just environment for tests, which is called green tests a nd permits no cheat because each student will have a different online paper. However, the popularization of online examination is unavoidably facing many challenges, such as the establishment of a complete performance criterion on online examination, p rinciples of supervision and strict training of staff, but among them the most important one is the requirement for equipment. D ue to the unbalanced development in education, many universities in some remote areas are incapable to purchase so many com puters for testing and create an examination point.

In spite of so many challenges for online exams as the reform of modern examinations I believe that they will be adopted in more examinations only of both government and universities could make full preparation. Every trial will be perfected in practi ce and there is no exception to online examinations.

Study Abroad or in China?

There is no consensus of opinions among people as to whether students should study abroad or not. Those people who agree with studying abroad believe that diverse culture backgrounds can broaden students' horizon. They also claim that overseas study can shape students' personality

Nevertheless, the other people who agree with dome stic education argue that our educational programs have been greatly improved during the past decades. They also point out that domestic education is convenient and economical.

As far as I am concerned, the former opinion holds more weight. For one thing, it can strengthen the learners' abilities to und erstand and communicate with people from other cultures. For another, the developed countries still have a lot advanced knowle dge we need to study. When all the factors are examined, we may reasonably come to the conclusion that studying abroad is adv isable.

Knowledge can be acquired from many sources. These include reading books, classroom activities and practice, and each has its own advantages.

The knowledge we gain from books and formal education enables us to learn about things that we have no opportunity to exp erience in our daily life. First of all, we can study all the places in the world and learn from people we will never meet in our lif etime, just by reading about them in books. Second, we can also develop our analytical skills and learn how to view and interpr et the world around us in different ways. Last but not least we can shuttle between the past and the future by reading books. In t his way, we won't repeat the mistakes of others.
